Speed reading is good for textbooks, I wouldn’t use it on a novel.

You know Marie, I’m quite skeptical about speed reading… I think that reading a good story at such a high speed would be like going to the theatre and watching a 2-hour movie in five minutes, or like gulping down a nice wine instead of enjoying it slowly

My friend Ignacio is a speed reader, used to pick up huge bricks and finish them in two days, but he had great trouble with my 64000 words Lash novel (said it forced him to read slowly to get it) and then, whenever I ask him anything about my characters, or the powers or the events, he says “What? What part are you talking about?”

So I don’t know…

Do you really get all the details and the feeling of the narrative ???

I don’t know, I’ve only seen speed readers on TV infomercials. Well, I do read a little fast, I guess, but real speed readers put me to shame.

I’m also re-reading, by the way, my Lash story again, since I *casually* decided to modify the name of a very important character and change the last name of the very star of the series

You -and any other speed reader- would have great difficulty reading my stories, as they are highly concentrated and feature so many places, events, feelings and descriptions in a number of pages that is surprisingly low when compared to other Fantasy works

They are like a pure and concentrated orange juice, instead of a juice mixed with large amounts of water…
